THE Zimbabwe netball team, the Gems, have set their sights on making a statement at the inaugural Celtic Cup set for Scotland next month.
Currently in a rigorous five-week training camp, 28 players are vying for a spot in the final 12-member squad.
Coach Ropafadzo Mutsauki is focusing on nurturing emerging talent from the 21 and under age group.
“We are building towards the 2027 World Cup in Australia, and this tournament is crucial for our development,” she said.
The Gems will face stiff competition from European teams Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the four-nations tournament running from the 7th to the 11th of next month.
