The stage is set for a defining moment in Zimbabwe’s pageantry calendar as 18 finalists converge at the Hippodrome in Harare this Saturday night for the Miss Universe Zimbabwe grand finale, where five winners will be crowned to represent the country on the global stage.
After months of preparation, rigorous assessment and intense competition, the finalists are poised to contest for top honours across five international pageant franchises, marking the culmination of a journey that has tested not only beauty but also intellect, confidence and leadership.
At stake are titles that will see the winners represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Cosmo, Miss International and Miss Supranational.
The competition has been structured around a series of demanding evaluations, including closed-door interviews, head-to-head engagements and public appearances designed to assess poise, communication skills and leadership capacity.
International attention has already begun building ahead of the finale, with global pageant figures arriving in Zimbabwe to participate in the prestigious event.
South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi, former Miss Universe, will host the grand finale, while a panel of judges will determine who earns the coveted crowns.
Public participation has also added momentum to the contest, with online voting reflecting strong national engagement. Nicole Nyawera currently leads the public rankings, followed by Nomaqhikiza Mokoni and Sindiso Ndlovu, as supporters rally behind their preferred finalists.
Beyond competition, the event is expected to showcase a vibrant celebration of African culture, fashion and entertainment.
The entertainment line-up features award-winning Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah, alongside Nigerian Afrobeats star Fireboy DML, promising a high-energy spectacle to complement one of the country’s most anticipated pageants.
