THE Agricultural Dealers and Manufacturers Association (ADMA) Expo concluded in Harare this Saturday, with stakeholders highlighting continued growth across Zimbabwe’s agricultural value chain as new players and technologies reshape the sector.
The annual exhibition brought together companies operating across the agricultural ecosystem, providing a platform to showcase products, technologies and services designed to enhance productivity and support economic growth.
Among the notable exhibitors were aviation service providers, whose participation reflected the growing demand for specialised air services in agriculture, mining and related sectors.
“Access is key when it comes to mining, hence aircraft suits that essential requirement, so we welcome this service,” miner Mr Edward Ncube said.
“Land mapping and surveying are critical aspects in farming to improve efficiency, and aircraft provides that essential service,” farmer Mr Thomas Woods said.
Participants in the aviation industry said demand for their services continues to grow as businesses seek more efficient operational solutions.
“Aviation services are proving to be a game changer in agriculture, mining, and other sectors, and our services have proven to be key in providing that service,” participant Captain Oscar Musakasa said.
Technology also featured prominently at the exhibition, with agritech companies showcasing innovations aimed at improving efficiency and managing production risks.
“Technology is the driving force in agriculture by way of managing risks. We are providing drone solutions that are proving to be essential in assisting farmers to improve yields and manage their enterprises effectively,” agritech entrepreneur Mr Wencelous Nyamufukudza said.
