President Mnangagwa presides over ZNDU 6th graduation ceremony

THE Commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces and Chancellor of the Zimbabwe National Defence University (ZNDU), President Emmerson Mnangagwa, presided over the institution’s sixth graduation ceremony at the Rodgers Alfred Nikita Mangena Barracks in Mazowe, this Friday.

The university’s Vice Chancellor, Air Vice Marshal Dr Michael Tedzani Moyo, revealed the institution has also ventured into income-generating projects to empower students and sustain its operations.

“Your Excellency and Chancellor, the university has ventured into income-generating projects to reduce reliance on the fiscals. Various business ventures are at different stages of development, including a hotel and conference centre facilities,” he said.

The Zimbabwe National Defence University is the premier defence and security institution of the country. It offers cutting-edge knowledge of defence and security studies, including engineering.

Students are drawn from state institutions and other civilians who are in strategic institutions both at home and in allied member states in the region.
