ZIMBABWE is seeking to strengthen trade and investment relations with Eswatini as preparations gather pace for the 2026 Eswatini Investment Conference, scheduled for next month.

The push follows the launch of the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) regional roadshow in Harare, which is aimed at fostering partnerships and promoting regional collaboration ahead of the conference at the Ezulwini Palazzo International Convention Centre.

Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority Executive Head, Mr Martin Masilela, said this year’s investment drive will focus on five strategic sectors identified by the Eswatini government.

“In terms of the size of the investment projects that we are looking at coming from different sectors, like your mining, like your energy generation, like your manufacturing, as well as agriculture and tourism. These are mainly the key sectors that government is focusing on in terms of bringing investment into Eswatini. So, we will be having high-level talks as well as plenary discussions and breakaways on the key priority sectors,” he said.

The 2026 Eswatini Investment Conference is expected to bring together financiers, government officials and business leaders from across Southern Africa and beyond to explore investment opportunities and deepen regional economic cooperation.
