Ngezi Platinum bullish ahead of CAF return leg Ngezi

Story by Lawrence Trusida, Sports Editor

Ngezi Platinum Stars head coach Takesure Chiragwi is optimistic that his team will get a positive result when they take in AS Miniema Union of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the reverse encounter of the CAF Champions League preliminary round set for Kindu, DRC this Sunday.

It is all to play for at the Stade des Martyrs this Sunday as AS Miniema host Ngezi Platinum Stars in a CAF Champions League preliminary round encounter.

The first leg ended nil-all, with hosts Ngezi Platinum Stars creating the better chances, while the visitors had sporadic raids to their opponent’s penalty box.

Despite the draw seemingly favouring Miniema Union, Chiragwi believes it’s game on.

“There is all to play for in the match so we are starting again at 0-0. The good thing is we also know how they play so we will be better prepared for the match, we will give it our all and we are sure we will get a positive result from DRC,” said Chirangwi.

The match will be played at the giant Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, which hosts 80 000 fans and is set to kick off at 1630 PM this Sunday.
