CHISHAMISO Stadium in Hippo Valley, Chiredzi, came alive this Saturday as thousands of music lovers gathered to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hippo Valley Estates Limited, with Sungura music icon Alick Macheso delivering a memorable performance that kept fans on their feet.
The landmark celebrations transformed the usually quiet Lowveld community into a vibrant entertainment hub as people from across the region thronged the stadium to witness one of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated musicians perform at the milestone event.
Headlining the anniversary gala alongside his Orchestra Mberikwazvo outfit, Macheso lived up to his reputation as one of the country’s finest live performers, treating fans to a polished and energetic show.
From the moment he stepped onto the stage, the Sungura maestro captivated the audience with his powerful vocals, trademark guitar skills and energetic dance routines that have endeared him to generations of music fans.
