Zimbabwe is ready to receive Southern African Heads of State and Government who are coming for the Extra Ordinary SADC Summit set for this Wednesday.
At a Post Cabinet media briefing held in Harare this Tuesday, the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere confirmed that the country is ready to host the event, adding that regional leaders are expected to arrive in the country this Wednesday.
Government notes the meeting of the regional leaders is expected to tackle a number of regional issues including developments in DRC and Mozambique as well as the forthcoming elections in Namibia.
Precursor meetings of Senior Officials of the Ministerial Committee Organ on Politics and Ministerial Committee of the Organ which commenced earlier have set the tone for the leaders’ meeting.
Meanwhile, government has also updated the nation on efforts to expedite implementation of the Tugwi- Mukosi Combination Master plan.
If successfully implemented, the master plan will unlock value for the tourism sector as well as the agricultural industry in Masvingo province.
