ZANU PF party structures and affiliates were honoured for the outstanding work they did during the year at this year’s edition of Legacy TV Empowerment Awards.
Some of the winners who include Vapotsori for ED and Young Women in Business could not hide their joy for being recognised.
“God has blessed us through Legacy TV which has recognised us fully by acknowledging our role in uniting and mobilising support for President Mnangagwa and Zanu PF during the past elections. Vapostori and Zanu PF are one. We are indigenous churches which will continue to work for unity and with the ruling party,” said Madzibaba Moses Gwasarira, Founder Vapostori and MaZion for ED.
“We want to thank our ruling party Zanu PF and President Mnangagwa for remembering young women by availing them business opportunities. We managed to do a lot this year and we hope to continue empowering fellow young women as we forge ahead to Vision 2030,” noted Ms Apphia Musavengana, Founder Concord Young Women in Business.
Legacy TV Director Ms Agnes Chinakidwa said the awards are meant to motivate cadres to work hard for the revolutionary party and country.
“As children of the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle we are happy to be doing our part in recognising fellow party members for the sterling work that they are doing. It is not easy to work and it is always a good feeling and motivator to be honoured for the effort one puts in making their country better,” she said.
Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution , Honourable Charles Tavengwa , noted with gratitude the efforts put by the party structures and affliates in changing the developmental matrix of the country.
“It is not easy to dedicate oneself to work for the country and to aspire to make a difference in the communities we belong to. We appreciate the hard work that everyone has put in place and we are happy that you have been recognised for the hardwork,” said Tavengwa.
Legacy TV Empowerment awards is a brainchild of the Children of the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle who aim to appreciate Zanu PF party structures and affiliates for the various empowerment initiatives they undertake to improve livelihoods.
