ZANU PF First Secretary and President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has called for unity and renewed focus within the ruling party, saying Zimbabwe’s value addition and beneficiation drive is reshaping the structure of the economy.
Addressing the 392nd session of the ZANU PF Politburo in Harare on Wednesday, the President highlighted the growing importance of beneficiation in unlocking value from the country’s natural resources and strengthening industrialisation.
He said the policy thrust is central to transforming Zimbabwe from a raw material exporter into a production-based economy anchored on value addition.
President Mnangagwa also urged party members to familiarise themselves with the amended party constitution, stressing the need for discipline, clarity of roles and adherence to party principles.
He commended the party for spearheading development programmes across the country, noting that ongoing projects are key to improving livelihoods and driving economic growth.
At the same time, the President emphasised unity as a critical pillar in achieving national aspirations, calling on members to work together in pursuit of shared development goals.
