Seven people were killed and four others injured early Thursday when a Toyota Hiace minibus collided with a fuel tanker along the Harare-Bulawayo Road near Kuwadzana 7.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police said the minibus, attempting a right turn onto Bulawayo Road, crossed into the path of the oncoming tanker at a traffic-controlled intersection.
The bodies of the deceased were transported to Sally Mugabe Hospital, where the injured are also receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, another accident along the Harare-Masvingo Road, killed two people, injuring five others after a Toyota Land Cruiser veered off the road and overturned.
Four of the injured were taken to Mvuma Hospital, while one was transferred to Harare for further medical care.
Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi urged drivers to follow road rules and avoid speeding.
