LEGENDARY musician, Jeys Marabini, is captivating fans with his newly launched album “Umjolo.”
Marabini’s 10th album features 10 tracks that mainly focus on the themes of love, trust and faith.
To the artist, the album is a testament to his enduring musical journey and his commitment to creating meaningful and relatable content.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to bring you this album. This is an educational album. I was working with young artists who advised me to title it “Umjolo” as a current thing that would create controversy, so the title is to create interest. People are calling left, right, and centre to understand “Umjolo.” It is a good album for people to listen to, and it has many interesting songs advising about love in general and peace that resonates with Zimbabwean people,” he said.
Marabini also highlighted that his album is a reflection of his growth as an artist and his desire to connect with both new and old audiences.
“I believe people will enjoy it. I have many songs, like “Noma Kanjani,” and another song where I featured a brilliant young man, Mzoe 7, titled “Thula Ulalele Nansi Ingoma.” The album is available on all social media platforms. We are also working on music videos so that people can see more of Jeys Marabini’s visuals than just the sound.”
Born Majahawonke Ndlovu, Marabini started his musical journey in 2002 and has since continued to serve his Zimbabwean and international followers with his captivating songs, solidifying his status as a music icon.
