Nominations open for The List Awards 2026

THE 2026 List Awards edition has officially opened its nomination platform, launching the search for exceptional influencers whose leadership, service, innovation, and commitment to humanity foster change and motivation across Southern and East Africa.

The organisers spoke in detail about the categories up for consideration, in celebration and honour of Hunhu/Ubuntu, impact, and the individuals transforming communities through service.

“They are Open to individuals aged 18 years and above, with a minimum of five years of verifiable impact and contribution. No nomination fee required. Self-nominations and third-party nominations are also welcome. Guided by independent governance structures, including a Board of Advisors, Selection Committee, Jury, and Adjudication processes, The List Awards upholds transparency, integrity, and excellence. Nominations are open until July 26, 2026,” The List Awards Founder, Advocate Nyaradzo Mashayamombe said.

Selection Board Chairperson, Pastor Wellington Bakarimani, said the awards celebrate individuals whose work embodies the values of Hunhu/Ubuntu and has positively transformed communities over time.

“The awards recognise individuals whose work embodies the spirit of Hunhu/Ubuntu and has demonstrated meaningful impact over a minimum of five years. Behind every thriving community is someone whose contribution may never make the headlines, yet whose work changes lives. The List Awards exist to honour these quiet leaders, innovators, community builders, and champions of humanity whose impact deserves recognition.”

The awards are expected to bring together outstanding individuals from across Southern and East Africa, celebrating excellence in leadership, service and community transformation while promoting the enduring values of Hunhu/Ubuntu.
