Harare giants Dynamos bounced back to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-nil victory over Chegutu Pirates in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter played at Rufaro Stadium this Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Ghanaian forward Frederick Alick scored the decisive goal in the 51st minute, handing Dynamos their first win since their 1-0 triumph over Hwange.
The breaks a string of draws for DeMbare in the local league.
The win is a welcome relief for Dynamos, who had been struggling to find their footing in recent matches.
In other matches, Highlanders suffered a surprise 2-1 loss at home to Herentals, while Hwange secured a narrow 1-0 win over Chicken Inn.
Meanwhile, the match between Manica Diamonds and Arenel Movers was postponed due to the passing on of Manica Diamonds’ team medic, Morgan Ashala.
The fixture will be rescheduled at a later date.
