Citizens Coalition for Change blueprint anchored on five pillars

WITH just two weeks left before the nation goes to the polls, the Citizens Coalition for Change launched its manifesto in Bulawayo this Tuesday anchored on five pillars which the opposition party claims will see Zimbabwe become a world jewel by the year 2028.

Launching the manifesto dubbed ‘The New Great Zimbabwe Blueprint’, CCC president Advocate Nelson Chamisa said his political party intends to restore, reconstruct, modernise, transform and reconcile Zimbabwe.

“The New Great Zimbabwe blueprint restore, reconstructs, modernised, transforms and reconciles Zimbabwe for radical and disruptive transformation for the social economic betterment and advancement of everyone. The restoration anon entails recalibrating, re-energising, repositioning, rediscovering and Erving the country for the greatness of everyone. The reconstruction canon entails rebuilding and refurbishing the broken, renovating the dilapidated and repairing the broken composes of the country. The modernization and wealth creation canon entails the modernization of institutions, organs, sectors, services and systems. The transformation canon is premised on five critical areas which are culture, structure, infrastructure, strategy and models, institutions and organs. The reconciliation canon will entail nation-building, premised upon restorative justice, rehabilitative justice and restitutive justice founded on the principles of truth, forgiveness and reconciliation,” he said.

Advocate Chamisa said the blueprint, premised on a five-point plan, is set to transform Zimbabwe into a jewel of the world by 2028.

He added, “The citizen’s government will reposition Zimbabwe back into the family of nations, making Zimbabwe a God-loving, God-honoring and God-fearing nation. Making Zimbabwe a leader in modern agriculture including advanced farming technologies, making Zimbabwe a leader in education and a prominent sporting giant. The citizens’ government will implement a program of transitional justice and nation healing, a new constitution, and rename and reduce the country’s provinces. We will restore macro-economic stability characterized by single digit inflation, create 2,5 million jobs in 5 years, enhanced value addition and benefaction.”

Political parties are canvassing for support ahead of the August 23 General Elections which will see the country electing the President, legislators and councillors.
