THE highly anticipated Battle of Zimbabwe lived up to expectations as Dynamos F.C. and Highlanders F.C. played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
Highlanders twice took the lead, but Dynamos fought back on both occasions to earn a share of the spoils in a thrilling four-goal contest.
Bosso opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Never Rauzi found the back of the net to hand the visitors a narrow advantage going into the half-time break.
Dynamos responded immediately after the restart, with Tellmore Pio equalising just a minute into the second half to level the scores and ignite the contest.
Highlanders regained the lead in the 77th minute through Mongameli Tshuma, sparking celebrations among the Bosso faithful.
However, the lead proved short-lived as Collin Mujuru struck three minutes later to restore parity and deny Highlanders a crucial victory.
The result leaves Dynamos in third place with four points, while Highlanders registered their second draw of the season.
In another Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Wadzanai Stadium, newly promoted Agama F.C. fell 1-0 to Bulawayo Chiefs F.C..
