AID workers continue to be killed as Israel’s onslaught on Gaza remains unabated more than one year later.
Reports indicate that at least 20 aid workers were killed in October alone, including four Oxfam staff travelling in a clearly marked vehicle.
The killings come after Israel has banned the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the GAZA strip and eastern Jerusalem.
In a media briefing in New York this Wednesday, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said the attacks on UNRWA are politically motivated.
Lazzarini also reported that over 230 UNRWA staff have been killed in conflicts while several facilities have been destroyed.
