Story by Jonathan Marerwa in Beijing, China
THE Communist Party of China, CPC, says it greatly values it’s relationship with Africa and other developing countries of the Global South as it is built on multi trust and win-win solutions.
Xie Chuntao, professor and director of the Teaching Research Department of the CPC history at the Party School of the Central Committee situated in Beijing, said this while addressing visiting media practitioners from Africa, Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Middle East this Thursday.
Professor Xie noted that China’s relationship with fellow developing countries is growing stronger, bigger and getting better each passing year.
He revealed that the just concluded China International Import and Export, CIIE, fair held in Shanghai showed that imports from Africa are on a steady rise.
Professor Xie also said China’s close exchanges with Africa have been enhanced by the Forum for China-Africa Co-operation, FOCAC, summits, a brainchild of President Xi Jingping, which has seen his vision of a community of shared future for mankind gaining traction.
He also said there have been many requests from students from abroad who want to come and study at the party school adding that they are ready to receive more students to enable them to share mass party building experiences.
The professor disclosed that, among other curricular activities, foreign students are taken on foreign trips to the countryside to be shown and taught how China has managed to overcome poverty.
Three hundred reform policies have been completed since the opening up of China in 1978 and these have also enabled the country to eliminate absolute poverty and also greatly reduce level of atmospheric pollution across the country.
