RETIRED senior military officer Brigadier General Donald Silundi Tshuma has died at the age of 71, the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) has confirmed.
In a statement on Monday, Commander Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Asher Walter Tapfumaneyi said Brigadier General (Rtd) Tshuma died on May 15 2026 at his home in Nkulumane 12 suburb, Bulawayo.
Lieutenant General Tapfumaneyi expressed sadness over the death of the retired senior officer, whose Chimurenga name during the liberation struggle was “Henry Silundi”.
“The Commander Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Asher Walter Tapfumaneyi, is saddened to announce the untimely death of Brigadier General (Retired) Donald Silundi Tshuma,” the statement in part.
The Zimbabwe National Army said details regarding funeral and burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
