ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries has pledged to continue promoting peace, national development and social transformation through gospel preaching and investment in education infrastructure across the country.
The commitment was made during a courtesy call by a ZAOGA delegation on President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa at the Munhumutapa Offices in Harare on Wednesday.
The visit also marked the formal introduction of the church’s new leader, Archbishop Dr Joseph Joe Guti, who was consecrated on January 25 this year.
ZAOGA Secretary General Bishop Mishael Nyambo said the delegation’s main purpose was to present the new Archbishop to the Head of State.
“We came to see His Excellency today just to introduce to him the new Archbishop of ZAOGA Forward in Faith who was consecrated on the 25th of January 2026. The visit today was basically to introduce the new leader of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries, Archbishop Dr Joseph Joe Guti, to the President,” he said.
Archbishop Dr Guti said the church remained committed to supporting peace, stability and development in Zimbabwe while advancing the vision laid down by the late founder, Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti.
“It was a courtesy call to demonstrate our support for His Excellency’s visionary leadership and to share updates on what is happening in the church of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries,” he said.
Dr Guti said the church continues to expand globally following the death of its founder in 2023.
“The church continues to grow more buildings, more churches, more members, more nations,” he said.
He added that ZAOGA would continue implementing legacy projects initiated by the late Archbishop Guti as part of its contribution to nation-building.
“There is peace, growth and stability in the church of ZAOGA Forward in Faith and even in our nation, Zimbabwe. The church contributes in many ways to nation-building. We are continuing with the spiritual legacy that Baba Guti gave us, that we remain the salt of the earth and the light of the world,” he said.
The meeting comes days after ZAOGA commemorated its 66th anniversary through nationwide celebrations and church activities held over the weekend.
