PSL said the initiative is aimed at rewarding excellence while contributing to the continued growth and professionalisation of the domestic game.
“The initiative is meant to recognise, celebrate and reward outstanding individual performances, while contributing to the continued growth and professionalisation of the league,” the statement read.
Under the partnership, every Player of the Match winner will receive a US$200 cash prize for the remainder of the campaign.
The PSL and LuckyBets said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to improving standards in local football by placing greater emphasis on individual excellence.
“This collaboration reflects a shared commitment by both PSL and LuckyBets to elevate the standard of football by placing greater emphasis on excellence on the field of play,” the statement said.
The organisers added that formally recognising standout performers is expected to motivate players to consistently deliver high-level performances while improving the overall matchday experience for supporters and stakeholders.
