Zimbabweans in the diaspora urged to take part in national development

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has implored Zimbabweans living abroad to embrace the country’s development philosophy, Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo, Ilizwe Lakhiwa Ngabanikazi Balo to propel national aspirations.

He was addressing the nation this Friday to mark National Unity Day.

In his message to commemorate the 36th anniversary of the signing of the Unity Accord, President Mnangagwa reminded every Zimbabwean of their duty in the development of the country through unity of purpose.

“Our Development philosophy, Nyika Inovakwa, Inotongwa, Inonamatigwa Nevene Vayo, Ilizwe Lakhiwa, Libuswe, Likhulekelwe Ngabanikazi Balo must now be distilled right down to the family and community levels.

“Similarly, our national character of a united people must be exhibited by Zimbabweans in the diaspora. No matter where you are in the world you must be united you are one people with one country and one motherland, Zimbabwe.

“On our part as a government, the formulation and implementation of policies, programmes, and projects will continue to be based on inclusivity. Our socio-economic development agenda is leaving no one and no place behind,” he said.

The Second Republic under President Mnangagwa’s administration is on a drive to engage and reengage with all nations and through the diaspora community has made contacts and built gainful business partnerships across the globe.
