ZIMBABWE and Equatorial Guinea are holding their inaugural Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC), following the signing of agreements to establish the platform in 2023 during President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s visit to Malabo.
Areas earmarked for cooperation include investment, road and air transport, agriculture, mining, fisheries, culture, tourism and energy.
Presidents, Dr Mnangagwa and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo are expected to oversee the signing ceremony of the inaugural JPCC session.
The engagements between the two Heads of State will be preceded by Senior Officials’ and Ministerial sessions, which are expected to further strengthen the long-standing relations between Harare and Malabo.
