WEST Indies fast-bowling legend Courtney Walsh has been appointed bowling coach of the Zimbabwe senior men’s cricket team as Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) retained the technical team that guided the Chevrons to a historic Super Eight finish at this year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

In a move aimed at maintaining continuity, ZC has retained head coach Justin Sammons, assistant coach Dion Ebrahim and fielding coach Stuart Matsikenyeri within the senior men’s set-up.

Former Zimbabwe internationals Hamilton Masakadza and Christopher Mpofu have also been appointed to the Senior Men’s Selection Panel, joining David Mutendera.

Meanwhile, Elton Chigumbura remains head coach of the Zimbabwe Under-19 team, while Donald Tiripano has been promoted to assistant bowling coach.
