United Methodist Youth Fellowship,Hwange-Victoria Falls Circuit(UMYFHVFC)are this year’s winners of the Bulawayo-Midlands District Group B Music Competition held in Bulawayo this Thursday.Â
UMYFHVFC emerged winners; number two on their own choice song and number two set piece.
The winners will now represent the district in Murewa,Mashonaland East province in June, where United Methodist Youth Fellowship national competitions will be held.
Meanwhile United Methodist Youth Fellowship Bulawayo Central successfully won the Group A category in the set piece.
The church is promoting music as a way to groom talent and to keep youths away from drugs.
To date successful music outfits or personalities that emerged from the church include the renowned WaBvuwi Harare West Choir,Kuchinei Chatsama of Nyembesi fame,Mukudzei Mukombe (Jah Prayzah),Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave and others.
