THE Zimbabwe National AIDS Council (NAC) has stepped up efforts to reduce HIV infections by equipping women with low-cost digital devices under their “Sister to Sister” programme.
This initiative is meant to empower women with the tools and knowledge they need to promote healthy living.
The Sister-to-Sister programme has been a cornerstone of NAC’s strategy, providing a safe space for women to discuss sexual health issues, and access essential services like HIV testing and counselling as well as preventative measures.
Now the programme has gone a step further by incorporating mobile phones with Saziso Mpofu, a 24-year-old mother of two from Umguza District, a shining example of the programme’s impact.
