Today, on Mother’s Day, I join the nation in celebrating and honouring all mothers, grandmothers and caregivers whose unwavering love, sacrifice and guidance continue to shape our families, communities and the future of Zimbabwe.
Mothers are the heart of the family and the backbone of our society. Through their nurturing hands, wise counsel and enduring strength, they raise children, preserve family values and inspire hope for a better tomorrow.
Their selflessness and resilience embody the spirit of Ubuntu, compassion, hard work and unity that define us as Zimbabweans.
Let us appreciate, support and protect mothers every day, build caring inclusive society recognising women’s role in development and nurturing future generations, and wish all mothers in Zimbabwe and beyond a peaceful, joyful, blessed Mother’s Day, with God’s guidance.
