SEVERAL people are feared dead and others seriously injured following a tragic accident early Wednesday morning at the Dzivarasekwa turn-off along Bulawayo Road. The collision involved a commuter omnibus, a haulage truck, and a UD truck.
The Dzivarasekwa turn-off area has become notorious for frequent fatal accidents.
Eyewitnesses report that the commuter omnibus was struck from behind after the driver encroached into the haulage truck’s lane while attempting to reverse and pick up a passenger.
In the ensuing chaos, the driver lost control and crashed into a stationary UD truck.
The police are yet to confirm the details of the incident.
