SADC Sustainable Energy Week kicks off in Victoria Falls

THE Southern African Development Community (SADC) Sustainable Energy Week has officially begun in Victoria Falls, bringing together policymakers, energy experts and industry leaders from across the region.
The high-level platform highlights the region’s collective commitment to accelerating the energy transition in line with regional development priorities.
Hosted under the auspices of SADC, the week-long engagement features ministerial meetings, technical sessions and exhibitions showcasing innovations in renewable energy, power generation and energy efficiency. Delegates are expected to deliberate on policy alignment, investment opportunities and cross-border cooperation aimed at strengthening regional energy security.
Beyond policy deliberations, the event is also providing a boost to local economic activity, with tourism and hospitality operators in Victoria Falls anticipating increased business from the influx of regional and international delegates.
The Sustainable Energy Week runs until Friday, positioning the resort city as a strategic hub for regional dialogue on sustainable development and energy transformation.
