SADC Chairperson, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has congratulated Dr Navin Ramgoolam following his election as Prime Minister of Mauritius.
In a statement, President Mnangagwa said he is happy that the elections were held in a peaceful environment and were pronounced free, fair and consistent with the SADC principles and guidelines.
He said under the leadership of Dr Ramgoolam, the region expects Mauritius to continue playing its critical role in the development of the bloc, adding that Zimbabwe expects continued bilateral cooperation with Mauritius.
