A 26-year-old teacher at Winwood College has been remanded in custody following allegations of indecently assaulting a 15-year-old student. He is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on Tuesday.
Stanley Rusanga is accused of inappropriately touching his student after calling her to his office under the guise of wanting to assist her with school work.
It is alleged that on Friday last week, the 15-year-old wanted assistance with her physics topics, and the accused asked her to come to his office.
The court heard that upon reaching the office, the girl was indecently touched by the teacher who went further to force the girl to touch his privates.
The girl told her mother of the abuse, and they reported the matter to the police.
