ZIMBABWE National Army section commanders have been challenged to be loyal and disciplined to excel in serving their country.
The 126 Zimbabwe National Army section commanders graduated this Friday after completing the section commander tactics course at 5 3 infantry battalion at 5 brigade barracks in Kwekwe.
Commander Zimbabwe Engineers Corp, Colonel Simbarashe Zhou, implored the officers to be disciplined and loyal, adding that they should use the knowledge gained during the training programme as a guide in discharging their duties.
“Your exposure here has moulded you into 21st-century junior leaders with the physical endurance and professional skills required to operate in the modern battlespace. I urge you to use the knowledge you gained to guide you in the loyal and patriotic discharge of your duties,” he said.
He also urged the graduates to continue developing their leadership skills after returning to their respective units.
“It is your responsibility to command and lead. Continue sharpening those skills when you return to your units and formations. I want you to continue doing good, as this helps the nation grow. This is commendable from you,” he said.
The 126 graduates went through a 20-week training programme, which was physically and mentally demanding, preparing them to become part of an effective national army.
