THE President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa, has warned party members against involvement in corrupt activities, noting the need to protect the integrity of the ruling party.

Save for the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the other major highlights of this week were the ZANU-PF Politburo and Central Committee meetings, which saw the President and First Secretary of the ruling party giving a stern warning to corrupt elements in the party.

He said his leadership will not stand and watch some people bring the name of the party into disrepute through engaging in corrupt activities.

“Corruption of any kind and excesses that alienate us from the people can never be condoned. Integrity, discipline and unity, concern for the people and clean governance must be synonymous with ZANU PF. As provided for in our Party Constitution, we have a duty to boldly and decisively deal with those who put the name of the party into disrepute. Winning the hearts and minds of our people remains a critical role of every cadre and structure of the party. ZANU PF ndiwo chete musangano unomirira zvido zvevanhu,” President Emmerson Mnangagwa said.

At the inception of the Second Republic, President Mnangagwa adopted a zero tolerance to corruption stance, emphasising the importance of hard work.
