Zimbabwean mixed martial arts sensation, Lewis Mataya, is ready for his debut at the UAE Warriors 53 series which takes place on the 27th of this month in in Abu Dhabi.
‘The Porcupine’ is gearing up for a thrilling showdown with Algeria’s Slimen Hassaini.
Mataya, who is also the African champion, is confident his good preparations will give him the edge over his opponent.
“I have been preparing hard, I always train and for this coming UAE fight I had to tailor-make my game for my opponent. He is a good fighter and I can promise you even if he was a world champion, I would still find a way to win. Doesn’t matter what he is bringing to the table, how tall he is or how big he is, I’m still going to win,” a confident Mataya told the ZBC News.
Mataya is also relishing the prospect of competing with the best in Abu Dhabi.
“Abu Dhabi is the fight capital of the world. To start my professional career there means I’m onto something. So it’s a good starting point, many fighters don’t get the opportunity to start at such a high level or stage. So you can tune in on UFC fight pass…the fight will be streamed there and you can follow me on social media Lewis Mataya on Facebook and African Warrior on Instagram. Tune in, there will be a link on my bio on where to watch the fight,” he said.
Mataya’s clash with Hassaini promises to be an exciting matchup and fans can catch the action live at the UAE Warriors 53 event on the 27th of September.
