A 39-year-old man has appeared in court facing charges of unlawful entry in aggravating circumstances after allegedly breaking into a house with two accomplices using duplicate keys and stealing US$128 000.
Police allege detectives acted on information from members of the public who reported that Andrew Hanyani was spending large sums of money and purchasing vehicles.
Investigations led to the recovery of two vehicles allegedly bought with proceeds of the crime, a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Range Rover Discovery. Agreements of sale reportedly showed the vehicles were purchased shortly after the alleged offence.
Hanyani was remanded in custody.
