ZIMBABWE continues to position itself as a destination of choice, with Hwange National Park emerging as one of the country’s major attractions for both local and international tourists.
Although January is traditionally regarded as a low season for tourism, particularly for international visitors, the park has remained a key drawcard, reflecting the resilience and appeal of Zimbabwe’s tourism sector.
However, this year, the festive season stretched, with Hwange National Park abuzz with visitors who could not resist the attractiveness of the park.
A ZBC News crew spoke to tourists from Germany, the United Kingdom and Scotland, who described their experiences in the park as memorable.
“This is my third visit to Zimbabwe and to Hwange National Park. This time I brought other family members to experience the beauty here. We have seen various animals, including elephants, lions and giraffes,” said a tourist from Germany.

A visitor from the United Kingdom praised the country’s hospitality, saying: “Zimbabweans are loving and welcoming people. We had the privilege of seeing a variety of animals, and I am very excited to be here.”
Another tourist highlighted the quality of services at the park, noting that “the accommodation facilities are beautiful and world-class.”
“I would recommend people back home to visit Hwange National Park and other tourism attractions in Zimbabwe. This is a beautiful country,” said a tourist from Scotland.

Hwange National Park remains one of Zimbabwe’s flagship tourism assets, alongside other key attractions such as Gonarezhou National Park, Mana Pools, the Eastern Highlands, Nyanyadzi Hot Springs, Nyangani Mountains, Binga Sand Beach and Victoria Falls, which continue to draw visitors throughout the year.
