FRELIMO intensifies election campaign

Mozambique’s ruling party, FRELIMO has intensified its election campaigns in Zimbabwe to tap into more than 33 000 registered voters in the country, ahead of elections slated for the 9th of next month.

FRELIMO representatives were in Harare’s Hatcliffe suburb this Wednesday where they met and interacted with the electorate on the party’s Presidential candidate, Cde Daniel Chapo.

Frelimo Central Committee member, Cde Sonia Zimoa, expressed the party’s confidence of victory in the next month’s elections.

“We are confident of victory, come next month. We are happy with the campaign trail which has proved that the party is popular in Zimbabwe and voters are excited,” said Cde Zimoa.

ZANU PF Harare Provincial Political Commissar, Cde Kudakwashe Damson represented the ruling party.

“We are assisting our sister party to mobilise voters and we are confident FRELIMO will register victory, come October 9.”

Three political parties are contesting in the October 9 elections in Mozambique, namely, FRELIMO, RENAMO and MDM.
