President Emmerson Mnangagwa says he had fruitful engagements with the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, which turned out to be an opportunity to consolidate existing ties and identify new areas of cooperation.

He said this while addressing ZANU PF supporters after touching down at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport this Sunday.

“I was out of the country for some days. I first went to South Korea where African leaders were gathered. I then had an opportunity to talk to the President of South Korea and we discussed a lot of things. Amongst what we discussed were the issues to do with investment and they promised that they are going to be there at our next ZITF,” he said.

He also gave an update on his trip to Russia where he had productive discussions with President Vladimir Putin.

He added, “I spoke to my counterpart and we assured each other of continued support. We are going to get more scholarships from Russia as well as space agency. We will continue to work together.”

President Mnangagwa was received at the airport by Vice President Kembo Mohadi, service chiefs and senior government officials.
