Black Rhinos F.C. have received a significant financial boost in their quest to return to top-flight football after securing a US$460 000 sponsorship package from Betterbrands Gold.

The sponsorship was unveiled on Wednesday at the Army Headquarters in Harare, marking a major show of confidence in the army side’s ambitions ahead of the 2026 MCM Northern Region Division One season.

Black Rhinos, who were relegated two seasons ago, are seeking a swift route back to the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League and have intensified preparations for the new campaign.

Businessman and legislator Pedzai Sakupwanya, popularly known as “Scott”, fronted the sponsorship through Betterbrands Gold. The package includes a 66-seater luxury team bus aimed at improving the club’s travel arrangements during the season.

In addition, the club received a Toyota Fortuner designated for the chairperson, while the head coach and the club’s administration were each handed Toyota Aqua vehicles.

The sponsors also pledged support for the club’s development structures and its fan base, underlining a commitment to long-term stability beyond the immediate promotion push.

The sponsorship unveiling coincided with the official launch of Black Rhinos’ 2026 kit, players and technical team, as the army side signalled clear intent to reclaim its place in the Premier Soccer League.
