All set for the Zimbabwe Jazz Festival

All is set for the 7th edition of Zimbabwe’s biggest Jazz festival, which kicks off in Bulawayo this Friday before being taken to Harare on Saturday.

The two-day Festival will be headlined by renowned R n B Jazz musician, Nnavy from Switzerland and some of the country’s top jazz acts such as Paul Lunga affectionately known as the “King of Jazz Horns.”

“We are thrilled to be having the 7th Zimbabwe Jazz Festival. The fantastic singer Nnavy from Switzerland will be one of our headline acts together with our very own London-based Paul Lunga,” said Zimbabwe Jazz Community Trust founder, Filbert Marova.

Ingoma yingoma, Hellenic Academy Big band, Prudence Katomeni- Mbofana are also part of the cast.

“Our line-up also celebrates excellence, diversity and inclusion. This year we have Prudence Katome-Mbofana, Ingoma Yingoma and Helleni Jazz band. The participation of Hellenic Academy big band is a testament to our commitment to preserve Jazz,” added Marova.

The country’s biggest Jazz Festival is a collaborative effort organised by the Zimbabwe Jazz Community Trust (ZJCT) and Alliance Francaise Zimbabwe.
