The 5th CMG Forum, jointly hosted by China Media Group and the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, is being held under the theme, “Upholding and Reshaping: The Media’s Mission in the Intelligent Era.”

The event has attracted representatives from international organisations, major global media houses, think tanks and multinational corporations, who are examining both the opportunities and challenges presented by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence.

The programme features keynote addresses, thematic dialogues and panel discussions focusing on technological innovation, cultural exchange and the evolving role of media organisations in an increasingly digital world.

Participants are exploring ways to strengthen trust, accuracy and collaboration in an AI-driven information environment.

Several major media innovation initiatives were unveiled during the forum, including the launch of the CMG Embodied Intelligence IP Collection, the inauguration of Fact Hunter, a global verification platform, and the introduction of CMG Central Audiovisual Media 3.0.

The forum is expected to generate fresh perspectives on how media organisations can adapt to technological change while safeguarding professional standards, credibility and public trust.
