FOUNDER and president of the Labour, Economists and African Democrats (LEAD), Linda Masarira, has died.
Masarira died on Sunday at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
Her close friend and associate, Dr Abigil Mupambi, confirmed the development to ZBC News, saying Masarira collapsed before being pronounced dead at the hospital.
“It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I announce the passing of a close friend and associate, a comrade to many, LEAD president Linda Tsungirirai Masarira, today, Sunday, 24 May 2026,” said Dr Mupambi.
She said details regarding funeral and burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
