THE ZANU PF Women’s League in Manicaland Province has expressed support for Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill, saying it promotes continuity towards Vision 2030.
A delegation from the ZANU PF Women’s League Manicaland Province toured several major national development projects to assess progress under the Second Republic’s infrastructure modernisation agenda.
The tour included visits to the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, the Trabablas Interchange, and the new Parliament Building at Mount Hampden, where the delegation reviewed ongoing construction and expansion works.
After the tour, the delegation said the projects are a clear testimony of government’s commitment to Vision 2030 and the inclusive development agenda being championed by the Second Republic.
“We have come here to Harare as the Manicaland Province delegation, and we are happy with what the Second Republic is doing. These projects show that our President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa, is committed to developing our nation. Therefore, we are saying the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill must go ahead,” Cde Agatha Muparutsa said.
“We are happy with the programmes being implemented by the Second Republic because we are now seeing real development taking place across the country. The roads, the airport expansion, and other infrastructure projects are improving people’s lives and creating opportunities for communities,” Cde Abigail Zimunya said.
“The Second Republic has shown commitment to transforming the country through various developmental programmes. As citizens, we are encouraged by these projects because they reflect progress, modernisation, and a better future for Zimbabwe,” Cde Dhliwayo said.
ZANU PF Manicaland Provincial Chairperson, Cde Dorothy Mabika said the league fully supports the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill, citing the infrastructural developments being implemented across the country.
“First of all, I want to say that the Manicaland Women’s League fully supports the Bill. The reason we are here in Harare is to give our women an opportunity to appreciate the developmental projects being implemented by our government under the leadership of President Mnangagwa, so that they can understand why we saying the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill,” she said.
At the New Parliament Building, the delegation had an opportunity to engage the President of the Senate, Cde Mabel Chinomona, who is also ZANU PF Secretary for Women Affairs.
“I want to thank you Manicaland Province for your continued support of our party. You have done a good thing. I am happy that you are from Manicaland, where there are many projects, and today you are here in Harare to appreciate these projects. You have seen what our President is doing. No one will mislead you about our President. Let me also say that all of you as women are allowed to be legislators. Let us take this opportunity as women to take the lead and support one another. We are also saying let our President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa, finish the projects he has started. We are saying let us support Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill so that we continue with this trajectory,” she said.
The Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill will be tabled here at the Parliament Building after the conclusion of nationwide public hearings, where it was widely received.
