THE ZANU PF Youth League has reiterated its unwavering support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa, describing his leadership as central to political stability and the attainment of Vision 2030.
The resolution was adopted during the Youth League’s first National Executive meeting of the year, held at the ruling party headquarters in Harare this Wednesday.
Addressing the meeting, ZANU PF Secretary for Youth Affairs, Tino Machakaire expressed gratitude to the Government for advancing Constitutional Amendment Number 3, noting its role in strengthening governance structures and entrenching institutional clarity.
He said the recent gazetting of the Bill marks a decisive step towards consolidating political stability and safeguarding national development gains.
“Stability is the foundation upon which investment is secured, public confidence is built and development is sustained. Vision 2030 demands consistency of leadership, policy certainty and a governance framework capable of sustaining long-term national programmes,” he said.
The Youth League resolved to mobilise support for the proposed constitutional reforms, emphasising its role as the vanguard of the party in building national consensus around key policy initiatives.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for National Youth Day commemorations set for 21 February in Marondera. Minister Machakaire said the event will provide an opportunity to celebrate youth empowerment milestones achieved under the Second Republic.
Government empowerment initiatives targeting young people include access to agricultural land, mining claims, mechanisation equipment and funding support through the Empowerbank, among other programmes.
The Youth League said the year ahead will be characterised by intensified mobilisation, youth development activities and support for the national transformation agenda.
