INTERNATIONAL Evangelist Pastor Benny Hinn and his team have praised President Emmerson Mnangagwa for spearheading massive life-changing development in the country, which should be emulated by other nations.
The visiting pastor and his delegation are in Zimbabwe for a crusade, which is set to boost religious tourism.
Speaking to journalists after paying a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa, Pastor Hinn said they are in Zimbabwe to preach the gospel.
“We are on our way to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Zimbabwe,” he said.
Heartfelt International Pastor Kayanja from Uganda said they had a productive discussion with President Mnangagwa.
“First of all, we thank him for the development that we are seeing in Zimbabwe. Pastor Benn also mentioned that Zimbabwe works like a centre of Southern Africa. As Zimbabwe receives the gospel, it continues to be blessed, and the rest of the African continent and the nations around will also begin to do that. The President also mentioned that the gospel is needed, especially to help the young people, because their number one problem now is drug abuse,” he said.
“It was a productive meeting. We also told him how he is actually a beacon of light in Africa. What we see in Zimbabwe today is a sign to all of us. The delegations that have come from different African countries, that, for sure, when we look at Zimbabwe, Africa can heal. Africa can develop, Africa can be managed, and Africa can be better,” he said.
The delegation was accompanied by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Honourable Barbra Rwodzi, and the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Honourable Tatenda Mavetera.
