THE Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s Classic263 radio was named Best Zimbabwe Online Radio Station at the Zimbabwe Diaspora Homecoming Celebration and Business Summit, held in Harare on Friday, in recognition of its growing reach and consistent delivery of quality digital broadcasting.
The award acknowledges Classic263’s role in using online radio to connect audiences at home and in the diaspora, while promoting national development discourse and Zimbabwean cultural identity through its programming.
The accolade was presented by the Deputy Chief Secretary for Policy Analysis, Coordination and Development Planning in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Dr William Manungo, alongside the Secretary for Presidential Affairs and Devolution in the Office of the President, Honourable Tafadzwa Muguti. It recognised the station’s contribution to development-oriented content, diaspora engagement and its sustained growth as a digital platform.
Receiving the award, Classic263 Station Manager Mr Terrence Mapurisana paid tribute to the station’s team and listeners, saying the recognition reflected collective effort and audience trust.
