VP Mohadi meets Indonesian President Joko Widodo

VICE President Kembo Mohadi, who is leading the Zimbabwean delegation to the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and the Second Indonesia-Africa Forum, has met with Indonesian President, Joko Widodo on the sidelines of the meetings.

The two deliberated on Harare-Jakarta ties, with President Widodo citing the need to strengthen cooperation in the trade, health and mining sectors so as to spur the two countries’ economic growth.

In response, Vice President Mohadi said Zimbabwe is ready to engage with Indonesia in several fields, particularly the mining value chain.

He also toured an exhibition taking place on the sidelines of the forums, where trade promotion body, ZIMTRADE is taking part.

The Vice President said Zimbabwe can take a cue from other countries in terms of technology development, agricultural value chains and the health sector.
