ZIMBABWEAN international, Jordan Zemura is likely to miss the Four-Nations Invitational tournament in Botswana at the end of this month after his Italian club Udinese confirmed the utility player suffered a hamstring injury.
Zemura picked up the injury during the final training session ahead of Udinese’s Serie A match against Atalanta on Saturday.
In a medical update, the club confirmed Zemura sustained a hamstring problem and will be reassessed after a couple of weeks, casting doubt over his availability for the upcoming international assignment.
Zemura was expected to play a key role for the Warriors at the Four-Nation tournament scheduled for March 23 to March 31 in Francistown, Botswana.
Zimbabwe will battle it out against regional rivals, Zambia, Botswana and Malawi.
The tournament is expected to give the Warriors’ technical department an opportunity to work on combinations ahead of upcoming competitive assignments.
