REIGNING Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua has arrived in Zimbabwe on a five-day familiarisation tour of the country.
The stunning 24-year-old beauty touched down at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport this afternoon.
The beauty has high expectations for her five-day visit as she celebrates diversity, especially of women around the world.
“This trip made my life a whole life. I never learned but believe that every day is a new day to learn. I have been in 28 countries and I am here to feel your energy. We want to promote Destination Zimbabwe and want to represent the diversity of every single woman around the world. We are happy to be here and excited to share your culture and cuisine,” said Palacios.
The visit is expected to market Brand Zimbabwe while inspiring the girl child in the country.
Miss Universe Zimbabwe board member, Honourable Miniyothabo Chiwenga said, “We are happy you are here and hope you will be able to market Brand Zimbabwe. We have a lot of girls who are aspiring to be you and we hope your visit will inspire them and they will also learn from you.”
Zimbabwe has been host to a number of top officials and celebrities in the recent past and as part of her tour, Palacio will also visit Victoria Falls.
The beauty will attend several events in the country.
She will hand over her crown to a new queen at a pageant to be held in Mexico later this year.
Zimbabwean queen Sakhile Dube is expected to represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant.
