HARARE – PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to launch the Zimbabwe Media and Communications Policy in Harare this Wednesday.
The policy was considered and approved by Cabinet in April this year.
Among its key objectives, the media policy is expected to promote media viability and sustainability and enhance the country’s media landscape.
The policy also seeks to protect the country’s image, sovereignty and territorial integrity, while promoting a robust digital economy and a diverse media industry.
It is also expected to help transform the media environment through modern infrastructure, entrenching professionalism and creating a comprehensive code of ethics to raise local media standards.
